We hope you have fun and relax while painting this book and, at the same time, contemplate the richness of the architectural detail, which was characteristic of previous times. Portuguese architecture, from the most imposing to the most common, is full of patterns in tiles, floor coverings, stucco on the roofs of buildings, and in the art of working with wrought iron. Here we present a series of patterns and figures of Portuguese buildings to color and it is impossible not to be enchanted by the detail and genius of some of these compositions.

Description

We hope you have fun and relax while painting this book and, at the same time, contemplate the richness of the architectural detail, which was characteristic of previous times. Portuguese architecture, from the most imposing to the most common, is full of patterns in tiles, floor coverings, stucco on the roofs of buildings and in the art of working with wrought iron. It is also present in handicrafts, as in the lace of Bilros, where complex designs appear. The countless figurative representations, which illustrate scenes from our history, appear in the stained glass windows, in the gilded carvings of churches and other monuments, in the tile murals, in the worked stone or simply in the messages of love as in Viana’s “handkerchiefs”. Here we present a series of patterns and figures of Portuguese buildings to color and it is impossible not to be enchanted by the detail and genius of some of these compositions.
