About Picuru Ceramicas

Nestled in the picturesque mountain village of Lentegí in Granada, Spain, Picuru Ceramicas is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity and meaningful handmade objects.

Founded in 2017 by architect-turned-ceramicist Sofi and her partner Pablo, Picuru began as a passion project inspired by a love of ceramics, storytelling and the simple joy of creating by hand. Originally from Argentina, Sofi discovered ceramics after graduating as an architect in 2011, teaching workshops and developing her own unique collection of handmade creations before bringing the venture to Spain.

Today, every Picuru piece is crafted entirely by hand in their home studio. Unlike mass-produced ceramics, no moulds are used at any stage of the process. From shaping and sculpting to painting and finishing, each piece is individually created with patience, skill and care, ensuring that every little animal is truly one of a kind.

The beloved Picuru Amulets collection was born from a desire to create small ceramic companions that carry meaning, positivity and encouragement. Each handcrafted animal symbolises a special quality—from courage and wisdom to adventure, protection and inner peace—making them thoughtful gifts and treasured keepsakes.

Working from their workshop surrounded by the mountains of Andalusia, Sofi and Pablo continue to share their creations with customers around the world. Every piece carries a little part of their story, their craftsmanship and their belief in the beauty of handmade objects.
